Fugini, holder of the brand Cica, has a deep knowledge of the tomato sauce market and saw the stand up pouch package as a unique innovation opportunity with this product.
Due to the history of partnership with Itap Bemis, Fugini assigned this Division the development of the new package. Itap Bemis, by its turn, presented a differentiated proposal: a structure without aluminum, which assures more competitive price and higher printing quality.
The novelty came to the shelves in January, 2006 and excelled all expectations. “The customer intended to process 5 to 7 tons a month. Right in the second month after launching, this production simply doubled”, tells Rogério Traina, Business Manager. “With the success of the new package at the outlet, there is a strong trend for Fugini to extend this project to other lines”, he concludes.
