The cover leaf started as a margarine protecting “seal”, printed in a single color only, such as silver or gold. After that, it gained colors.
This innovation in the cover leaf printing process, implemented by the Labels Unit of Dixie Toga, has been opening new ways for using this product. It is now becoming a way of disclosure and promotion . Like Vigor’s cover leaf – which has brought novelties to the consumer since its launching, such as recipes, other company’s products, launchings, and promotions.
For the Unit, such innovation was a great challenge, for several adjustments in the rotogravure printing process were needed to get to the final result, expected by the customer.
