In 2007, DT will give continuity to the Dixie Toga Museum of Young Art Project, whose main objective is to encourage excluded young people to change the street environment for creation spaces that stimulate art as a means of expression of our culture.
The Dixie Toga Museum of Young Art will continue to take place in all the Brazilian cities where DT has a unit: Parnamirim RN, Rondonópolis MT, Guarulhos and Votorantim SP, Londrina, Cambé, Curitiba and Paranaguá PR. Each of these cities will have 100 vacancies for youngsters between 12 and 17 years of age so that they can develop painting on canvas activities throughout the year after school hours.
The workshops will take place at the municipal and state schools indicated by the Education Departments of the respective cities, and at the end of the school year, we will promote an exposition open to the community of the paintings of the 800 youngsters participating in the project.
