On March 1st, 2010, Bemis Company assumed the share control of the operations of Alcan Packaging Food Americas in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and New Zealand, thus aiming at expanding its business, increasing the products’ portfolio of the company and becoming more and more competitive to supply the markets in which it operates.
The main activity of the acquired company is manufacturing aluminum sheets packaging, trays for conventional and microwave ovens and retorts (autoclaving) used by the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry.
The new units of Alcan that have been acquired will be integrated into the different Divisions of Bemis and will strengthen the operations of the company within the flexible packaging market. |
